Life After Birth Session
Having a new baby is a special and exciting experience, but it can also be a stressful and uncomfortable time due to all the changes that happen within your body. This can leave you feeling anxious about whether our body has returned to ‘normal’, and how best to start regaining your figure and previous fitness levels. We also often have lots of questions we want to ask about aches and pains, incontinence, prolapse and sexual difficulties but don’t know who to approach.
Whether you have had a vaginal or caesarean delivery, the Life After Birth Session is for you.
This one-off 45 minute session with our Specialist Physiotherapist will enable you to discuss any anxieties or questions you may have, and will include the following:
- Pelvic floor and tummy check for weakness / separation of your muscles
- Individualised pelvic floor and abdominal muscle training
- Advice on safe return to exercise / sport
- Discuss any issues you may have with bladder / bowel problems, or back / pelvic girdle pain.
