Oscar Bartram (Physiotherapist)

Physiotherapy from the University of Northumbria

Oscar graduated in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University with a BSc (Hons) First Class Honours degree, and also achieved the best undergraduate academic performance in his cohort. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and an active member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

He has experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings through completing 1,000 placement hours at university, including time spent at Notts County FC working alongside professional footballers, helping players rehab from post-surgery through to returning to play.

Oscar provides hands-on, effective physiotherapy, combining manual therapy with exercise prescription and pain education to help patients understand and take an active role in their recovery. Throughout his studies he obtained a Level 4 Sports Massage Qualification, Oscar used this to his own sports massage therapy business, treating athletes and the public to enhance his skills. He also volunteered at various sporting events, including the Great North Run and at the English Men’s and Mixed Netball Association national championships.

Before physiotherapy, Oscar competed at an elite level in golf, playing NCAA Division 1 golf in the USA, and has since captained his University golf team within the BUCS Premier League. Oscars interest in physiotherapy was sparked through an injury obtained playing golf, where he had a first-hand experience of the positive effects of manual therapy and the rehabilitation process.

Outside of physiotherapy, Oscar is a gym and exercise enthusiast, which directly shapes his active, movement focused approach to rehab.
